What do Mike Miller, Cheri Burchard, and Catherine Pichon have in common?

Bowl

They will all have paintings hanging in the United States Capital in Washington DC!

The Dahlonega City Council, and our mayor, Gary McCollough commissioned these three artists to do a painting of the old Courthouse, which is now the Gold Museum, in the middle of the Square in Dahlonega. Cheri did a wonderful impressionistic painting, while Catherine did an amazing watercolor. Cheri and Catherine often paint together, and due to their different styles, often the subjects of their paintings are the same with a very different outcome.

Mike Miller, of Bleu Gallery, is an oil painter, famous for his portraits and inspiring attention to detail, painted the painting you see here. The Courthouse is in full 4th of July regalia!

The paintings shipped out February 29, 2008 and will be presented March 7 in Washington DC.

Congratulations Mike, Cheri and Catherine!
