I've been drawing pictures pretty much my whole life; but I've just started painting in Dec 2006. I tried it just to see if I liked it as well as drawing and I LOVED it.

It was a simple painting on a cheap little canvas with VERY cheap paints but the feeling I got while painting was a new and wonderful experience for me. I immediately went to an art supply store and bought an easel, paints and brushes and now I'm painting every chance I get. Fortunately my wife Amy and I own Hummingbird Lane Art Gallery so I also have a place to showcase my paintings. I haven't had any formal training….but, as a gallery owner, I am very lucky to be surrounded by some of the best painters in North Georgia so any time I have a question or am interested in a new technique they are always happy to share their knowledge with me.
