April 25
- Tour De Georgia
This race brings in thousands of bicyclers to Dahlonega, as we are the final leg of the international race. I have a bit of news about the race that’s pretty cool. The theme is Dahlonega and the Arts, and our local Chamber of Commerce asked me and several other local artists to set up during the race and offer lots of cool stuff that we’ve made specifically for the visitors during the race. As I was preparing my work in clay, I accidentally designed a platter that I thought turned out pretty cool. Not wanting to step on any toes, I presented the platter to the Chamber to get approval to use the Tour De Georgia name on the platter. They presented it to the Tour De Georgia committee, and suddenly they decided they’d like 4 more to give as prizes for each leg of the race! I’m very honored, excited and a bit nervous! But stay tuned – I will post pictures on our website when they are completed! As well, there will be lots of Christmas ornaments, coffee mugs, posters and more by all of the artists participating.
May 17-18
- Mountain Flower Fine Arts Festival
one of our favorites here in the gallery! Many of our artists have participated in this juried art show for several years, and we’re really excited to have them back, as well as tons of new artists who have made their way into the show. As well, the Master Gardeners of Dahlonega will be in Hancock Park, and you’ll find lots of inspiration wherever you look!
Come and See Us!
Ya’ll take care, enjoy the beautiful weather, and come and see us! We’re adding something new nearly every day, so don’t miss it!!
