People sometimes ask me what a particular painting means and often I don't know.  The paintings I do (which I'll refer to as the "undefined abstract" ones) aren't really done with much conscious intent.  They are better described as "snapshots of the subconscious".  It's hard to describe with words but the creative flow is like a fast moving river which is always right beside me.  I step into the flow and paint.  It's kind of like when you hear music that you just HAVE to dance to....I've heard similar descriptions from people who say they were "filled with the holy spirit" in church...or "totally at one with universe" while meditating...and even athletes describe being in "the zone" with sports.  I think these must all be different descriptions of the same kind of experience....Call it whatever you want...but "feelin' it" is what's important !

Ginny is a wonderful artist who works in several mediums with a free spirit. She is an oil painter who also works with acrylics, a glass painter who also works with metal, and a potter who makes both functional and decorative pieces. A great artist to add to your collection!

Accomplished impressionist painter Cheri Burchard began painting at the young age of nine in Pennsylvania. Influenced by an impressionistic painting in her childhood home, she made it a full-time profession in 1994. When asked about her inspiration, she responded, “For me, art is informed and formed by my faith. Paintings are often birthed in prayer.”
